The case of Negros Occidental Provincial Disaster Management Program Division (PDMPD) head remains on “show cause order,” according to Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Alberto Nellas, Jr.

In a radio interview over the weekend, Nellas said they have yet to resolve PDMPD head Dr. Zeaphard Caelian’s case as the related documents are voluminous.

Nellas said Caelian has not yet been charged with an administrative case, and he is allowed to remain at his post.

In December of last year, Caelian was issued a show cause order seeking the liquidation of a cash grant amounting to P3 million, and on the issue of conflict of interest.

According to Nellas, the grant was released to Amity Public Safety Academy in 2017, to conduct training and purchase of equipment.

Caelian is noted to be one of the directors of the organization, a position he simultaneously held while also being the head of PDMPD./DGB, WDJ
