One of the drug suspects, whose name was included in the list with the discovery of severed human hands in Bacolod City’s Barangay 2 on Wednesday morning, January 25, is seeking help.

The druggie identifying herself by the alias as “Mary Rose” admitted that she served prison time for illegal drug use back in 2019, and was released a year later after securing a plea bargaining agreement.

“Mary Rose” said she had changed her ways and was no longer involving herself with illegal drug activities since leaving prison.

After discovering that her name was included in the said list, she is now afraid of leaving her home.

Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police’s Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) confirmed that the severed hands were real, but evidence suggests that the hands were not cooked with the stew or “linaga.”

SOCO is trying to identify the individuals who owned the severed hands.

Police Station 2 commander Capt. Jonito Pastrana said they have also recovered footage from a closed-circuit television camera, which shows at around 3:00 a.m., a white van stopped at the area where the container with the severed hands was recovered.

However, they are unable to identify the vehicle’s plate number.

Pastrana also confirmed some of the persons on the list were no longer residing in the village and are now living someplace else.

He also affirmed that some of the individuals on the list were drug surrenderers.

Pastrana has issued an appeal to the individuals on the list to take the warnings seriously, stop involving themselves in illegal drug activities, and change their way of life./DGB, WDJ
