The Negros Occidental provincial government renewed the employment of 900 job order (JO) and 700 contract of service (CoS) workers.
Provincial administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz said the employment of around 20 CoS personnel was not renewed due to poor ratings for their performance.
Diaz explained the JO workers will have a P418 daily rate, while CoS employees’ rates will depend on the position they are holding.
Diaz added the renewal for JOs and CoS was far easier and faster now, thanks to their implementation of the Personal Information System (PIS).
He pointed out that prior to the implementation of the PIS, the contract renewal of JOs and CoS employees was far longer, taking weeks and even three months before they could start working for the provincial government./DGB, WDJ
