A multi-national company has expressed interest in constructing a feed mill in Negros Occidental, Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson revealed on Thursday, January 12.
During his talk with 1st district Congressman Gerardo Valmayor and representatives from the firm, Lacson said the congressman is due to meet the chief executive officer to discuss the proposed feed mill.
The proposed facility has an estimated price tag of P21 billion and would greatly benefit the province’s existing P8 billion poultry industry.
The governor said the feed mill is still in its preliminary stage, although the province already has the data that they could provide to the company.
They need to convince the firm for the construction of the facility, Lacson said./DGB, WDJ
