The Negros Occidental Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) has approved the P15 million budget for gratuity pay of the provincial government’s job order (JO) and contract of service (COS) employees.

Acting Governor Jeffrey Ferrer said the SP approved the gratuity pay last Tuesday, December 27, during their regular session.

Ferrer said the gratuity pay for the JO and COS employees would depend on their length of service, with the maximum amount of P5,000, while those who have only served for less than two months would receive P2,000.

The Capitol currently employs around 1,735 JO and COS employees./DGB, WDJ
