A barangay tanod was stabbed to death on Tuesday night, December 27.

Ruben Teves, 58 years old, of Barangay Mansablay in Negros Occidental’s Isabela town, was going home when Jason Piojo, 25 years old, suddenly emerged from the sugarcane field and allegedly stabbed him.

Teves was first hit on his neck and was subsequently hacked several times, police said.

Piojo fled after the incident.

The Isabela police alleged the reason for the stabbing was when the victim killed the suspect’s father in 2006./WDJ
