The Bacolod City government will implement a zero tolerance policy for ambulant vendors and illegal parking, starting January next year.
Mayor Alfredo Benitez instructed the city’s legal enforcement unit during a meeting on Tuesday, December 27, together with Atty. Romeo Carlos Ting, Jr. of the City Legal Office, and city administrator Pacifico Maghari III.
Benitez pointed out that a one-meter policy will take effect by January 1, 2023, especially on the sidewalks of the downtown area and in the markets.
Meanwhile, Ting explained that they are now waiting for the implementing rules and regulations of City Ordinance No. 1009, or the Ordinance Regulating Vending in Bacolod./WDJ
