A senior citizen was arrested in a buy-bust operation at Barangay 5 in Negros Occidental’s San Carlos City on Friday afternoon, December 23.

Agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Western Visayas (PDEA-6) identified the arrested as Roldan Alqueza, a resident of the city’s Barangay 6.

Prior to conducting the operation, they had received a tip that Alqueza was involved in illegal drug activities in the neighborhood, PDEA-6 said.

A total of 80 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P544,000 and buy-bust money were recovered from Alqueza.

Alqueza is facing illegal drug charges and is detained at the police station./DGB, WDJ
