Two villagers were wounded after they were hit by stray bullets in Bacolod City’s Barangay Bata early yesterday morning.
Both were residents of Purok Sawmill in the said village.
Police Captain Armilyn Vargas said, based on their investigation and through eyewitness accounts, a chase involving two individuals took place in the area shortly before 5:00 a.m.
One of them opened fire with an unknown caliber firearm, with the bullets hitting two bystanders.
Vargas said they had already identified the gunman, but as of press time, they are still conducting a manhunt operation.
Both victims were reported to be in a stable condition./DGB, WDJ
