A father was allegedly killed by his own son during a heated argument inside their home at Purok Paho in Bacolod City’s Barangay Felisa on Sunday night, December 18.

Police identified the fatality as 55-year-old Jose De Leon, a resident of the said place.

Police Major Richard Fajarito said the victim and his son, 22-year-old Joree, got into a heated argument after the latter saw his father hurting his mother.

The son allegedly picked up a hard object and slammed it into his father’s head, and stabbed the victim multiple times using a knife.

The father was dead on the spot, while the younger De Leon was immediately arrested by police.

He is detained at the custodial facility and facing a parricide charge for the incident./DGB, WDJ
