Investigators from Bacolod City’s Police Station 2 now have several persons of interest in a shooting incident that took place recently.

Police Lt. Jonito Pastrana, deputy commander of Police Station 2, said they currently have a total of three persons of interest in the case, including the lone gunman.

The victim, identified as Renante Guillang, is still recovering at the hospital after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds to the head and shoulder.

Based on the investigation, the shooting may have stemmed from the victim’s illegal drug activities.

Police believe that Guillang may have angered drug buyers after switching suspected shabu to “tawas.”

Pastrana said they have talked with Guillang’s father, who admitted to police that the victim had been using illegal drugs./DGB, WDJ
