The Negros Occidental provincial government has decided not to renew the contracts of 13 ambulance drivers under the Provincial Disaster Management Program Division (PDMPD).

Atty. Alberto Nellas, Jr. of the Provincial Legal Office (PLO) said the contracts of service have been terminated in connection to their failure or late submission of their “trip tickets.”

Nellas said the decision was immediately handed down against the involved drivers.

In October, the PLO issued show cause orders to 18 PDMPD employees over alleged irregularities and uncouth behavior.

Of the 18, 13 drivers were accused of irregularities with their trip tickets, while the remaining personnel were accused of rude behavior to their fellow co-workers and clients./DGB, WDJ
