A driver, who was under the influence of alcohol, was killed in a road accident at Barangay Sagua Banwa’s Purok Katilingban in Negros Occidental’s Valladolid town, on Sunday afternoon, November 27.

Police identified the fatality as 47-year-old Sunday Villar, a resident of Pulupandan town’s Barangay Zone 6.

Based on information gathered by Valladolid police, instead of following a curved road, Villar’s tricycle continued to go straight, causing him to crash into another tricycle.

The force of the impact threw Villar off his tricycle and caused his instantaneous death.

Meanwhile, the occupants of another tricycle suffered minor injuries in the crash./DGB, WDJ
