A cane truck driver and his assistant were dead on arrival at a hospital after they were electrocuted along Diversion Road at Barangay Cabahug in Negros Occidental’s Cadiz City, yesterday morning.

Truck driver Eddie Dejito, 49 years old, a resident of Sagay City’s Barangay Rafaela Barrera; and truck helper Ronnie Antojado, 26 years old, and a resident of Escalante City’s Barangay Balintawak, were heading towards Cadiz City when their truck accidentally hit an electrical line.

They went out of the truck to check the line but they were electrocuted.

The victims were rushed to the nearest hospital but they were pronounced dead./DGB, WDJ
