De La Salle University (DLSU) Lady Spikers and F2 Logistics Cargo Movers are set to face each other in a volleyball exhibition match on December 11 at University of St. La Salle Gym in Bacolod City.
According to Bea Tan of GRID Athletic Sports, the exhibition is an early Christmas gift to the Bacolodnon volleyball fans following the success of their two friendly games last September and October.
“Everyone is very excited to see these two squads compete here in our city. This is also a special treat this December for Bacolodnons and nearby cities and municipalities,” Tan said.
Several Western Visayas (WV)-based players are set to banner the Lady Spikers in Negrenses Jessa Ordiales, Maicah Larroza, Marite Espina, and Angel Canino as well as Ilongga Amie Provido.
The Cargo Movers, which recently competed in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference, also had two WV players in their lineup — Passi City, Iloilo-native Abigail Marano and Bacolodnon Jessma Ramos.
Other possible players in Lady Spikers’ roster were Alleiah Malaluan, Jolina dela Cruz, Thea Gagate, Mereophe Sharma, Leila Cruz, Justine Nazareno, Jade Fuentes, Baby Soreno, Julia Coronel, Marionne Alba, Ynna Hatulan, Mary Jingco, and Julyana Tolentino.
