The Bay Area Dragons continued their rampage in the 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup with a 140-108 domination of TNT Tropang Giga yesterday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

Myles Powell top-scored with 37 points, including six triples, to go with seven assists and six rebounds as the Dragons stayed on top of the standings with a 10-2 slate.

Kobey Lam also had six triples to end up with 30 points, while Songwei Zhu, Qilong Zheng and Duncan Reid also hit double-digits with 30, 16 and 10 markers, respectively.

The Dragons were blazing to start the game as they erected a 20-6 lead behind Powell and Zhu. It grew further in the second period behind Lam and Zhu for a 20-point difference.

Bay Area went for the kill in the second half with Powell and Lam igniting from three-point territory as the lead swelled to its largest of 38 points in the fourth quarter.

Matthew Warren Mobley had a decent debut as TNT’s new reinforcement with 38 points, on five outside shots, but the Tropang Giga fell on the brink of exit with its 4-7 slate.

John Paul Erram and Roger Pogoy added 16 markers apiece, while Frederick Tungcab and Mikey Williams ended with 13 and 11 points, respectively, for TNT.

Jayson Castro, the Tropang Giga’s veteran guard, did not suit up in the contest after suffering an injury during TNT’s defeat to Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings over the weekend.
