The Bacolod City Traffic Authority (BTAO) will coordinate with the City Legal Office (CLO) to ease the traffic problem on some major streets in the city.
According to BTAO head, Police Major Junji Liba, his office has yet to receive any formal complaint in relation to the traffic problem, but he has already noticed some significant factors that cause traffic in these areas.
Merchandise such as furniture displayed on the sidewalks of Barangay 27’s Lopez Jaena Street contributes to the traffic, Liba said.
Burgos Street leading to BBB Galo Street is also congested due to illegal parking and ambulant vending, he added.
Meanwhile, several complaints are circulating on social media following traffic congestion along the streets.
Liba said he will coordinate with the CLO to conduct a clearing operation because it is the CLO that is in charge of handling the said violators.
He also stated that he will be assisting with traffic to alleviate congestion./MS, WDJ
