Negros Occidental provincial government and Australia’s Northern Territory will create a “digital bridge” to connect the two local governments.
Provincial administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, who was with Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson during the one-week official visit to Darwin, Australia, said the most important reason for the visit was to check on the condition of the scholars the provincial government sent to study and work there.
“We found out they are doing well and highly regarded in the community and schools. They also do volunteer work in various groups and they are well adapted in Darwin,” Diaz said.
There are already 10 scholars in Australia and 15 additional students will be sent next year.
