A 66-year-old man was arrested after he was accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in Bacolod City.

Lt. Portia Nillosan, head of the Women and Children’s Protection Desk of the Bacolod City Police Office, said the suspect had been raping the victim multiple times since 2021, with the latest taking place on Tuesday, November 8.

Based on the information, the suspect invited the victim to eat lunch inside his house.

The suspect then covered the victim’s mouth and threatened to hurt her if she shouted for help.

However, the victim’s mother found her daughter and sought the help of the police.

The victim will undergo medical examination prior to the filing of rape charges against the suspect.
