Is the son of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. plans to run as congressman for Bacolod City? Negros Occidental Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer thinks it is just “mere speculation.”
“It could be speculation only as I never heard that from [Vinny] himself,” Ferrer said.
The rumor about presidential son William “Vinny” Marcos running for congressman should the city be divided into two congressional districts has been swirling during the President’s visit to attend the MassKara Festival last month.
The speculation was further fueled after observers noticed the welcome tarps with the photos only of City Mayor Alfredo Benitez and his son, Victorias City Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez, welcoming the Marcos family.
According to Ferrer, they should know if the presidential son will transfer his residency to Bacolod City, but as of now he doesn’t know where the story came from.
Ferrer pointed out that Vinny has the right to transfer his residency to Bacolod if it was his personal decision./DGB, WDJ
