The No. 3 most wanted person in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental was arrested around 7:53 a.m. yesterday in the city’s Sto. Rosario, Barangay Rizal.
Thirty one-year-old Jean Compacion, a resident of the village, is facing illegal drug charges.
Joint elements of the San Carlos Component City Police Station (SCCCPS), 2nd Maneuver Platoon, 605th Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6, and PNP Maritime Group arrested Compacion through the strength of an arrest warrant for violation of Republic Act 9165, of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, dated February 24, 2022 and issued by Judge Katherine A. Go of Regional Trial Court – Branch 59 in San Carlos City.
The suspect is currently detained at the SCCCPS.
No bail bond was recommended for her temporary liberty.
Meanwhile, Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) director, Police Brigadier General Flynn E. Dongbo, lauded the operating team for arresting Compacion, who is also under SCCCPS’ illegal drug watch list.
The PRO-6 director added that Compacion’s case stemmed from the buy-bust operation conducted by authorities on January 12, 2022 at Puso Tres, Hacienda San Jose in the city’s Barangay Guadalupe. Compacion was able to evade an arrest that time./WDJ
