Blackwater Bossing added much-needed firepower to its roster after tapping Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser as their top-overall pick in the PBA Season 47 Rookie Draft yesterday at the Robinsons Place in Ermita, Manila.

The 6-foot-7 PBA 3×3 basketball star will be an added force to the Bossing, which only won one game in the entire 2021-2022 PBA Season, according to head coach Ariel Vanguardia.

“I think consensus No. 1 pick na at this time si (Brandon) Rosser,” Vanguardia said earlier on Saturday, May 14. “It gives us an extra big man na kailangan talaga namin.”

Ganuelas-Rosser was not physically present in the draft as he was part of the Philippine 3×3 basketball team that won a bronze medal in the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Aside from Ganuelas-Rosser, the Bossing also made two more selections in the first round as they snagged Kurt Lojera at No. 9 and Mark Dyke at No.11.

Terrafirma Dyip, meanwhile, selected Jeremiah Gray as the No. 2 pick even if the Filipino-American guard is not expected to play until early next year due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Converge FiberXers drafted centers Jeo Ambohot and Justin Arana as their No. 3 and No. 4 picks, respectively, while Rain or Shine Elasto Painters snagged Gian Mamuyac as their No. 5 pick.

NorthPort Batang Pier drafted John Michael Calma at 6th, NLEX Road Warriors got Tyrus Hill at No. 7, Javier Gomez de Liano went to Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings at No. 8, Shaun Ildefonso to the Painters at No. 10, and Aklanon Keith Zaldivar to Magnolia Chickem Timplados Hotshots at No. 12./ASC, WDJ
