A Bacolodnon became the first one-star general of the Bureau of Fire Protection Region 6 (BFP-6).

BFP-6 Regional Director Jerry Candido was promoted to the rank of chief superintendent.

The donning and oath taking ceremony was held last Friday, March 25, at the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-NAPOLCOM Center in Quezon City.

DILG Secretary Eduardo Año led the ceremony along with 17 other senior officials from the BFP who have also been promoted after President Rodrigo Duterte signed their promotion orders last March 8./DGB, WDJ
