“Campaign for your candidates, we will campaign for ours.”

This was the reaction of Negros Occidental Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer to online bashers who criticized him and other officials in Negros Occidental who have expressed support for the UniTeam tandem of former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos (BBM) and incumbent Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

Ferrer admitted that since he announced that he is supporting the BBM-Sara tandem, he had been on the receiving end of criticism on social media.

“There is no respect anymore. Seems they are the ones who are right. Don’t we have freedom anymore? I just don’t mind it. I don’t even want to question their choice,” he said.

“I will not even engage them in street and gutter language,” Ferrer said, adding that they will campaign on a professional level.

He earlier announced that the UniTeam will hold a caravan and grand rally in Bacolod City tomorrow./DGB, WDJ
