An estimated P748,000 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated following a buy-bust operation at a motorcycle shop located in Eroreco Subdivision in Bacolod City’s Barangay Mandalagan on Sunday night, January 30.

Police identified the arrested as 18-year-old Michael Doromal, a resident of the city’s Purok Kagaykay in Barangay 2; and 23-year-old John Lloyd Golero, owner of the motorcycle shop.
Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Public Information Officer, Police Lt. Colonel Sherlock Gabana, said Doromal was previously a drug surrenderee at the BCPO’s Police Station 2, and had been a subject of the police’s “Oplan: Tokhang” twice during his teen years.
Gabana said both Doromal and Golero are using the motorcycle shop as a front in their illegal drug activities.
Doromal serves as the courier for the illegal drugs to Golero’s motorcycle shop, while police are still figuring out as to where Golero was getting his supply of shabu.
Police recovered a total of 17 sachets of alleged shabu with a combined weight of 110 grams and the buy-bust money amounting to P1,500.
The suspects are now facing charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./DGB, WDJ
