The number of medical staff who have tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) at the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital (TLJPH) in Silay City, Negros Occidental has now reached 63.
Based on data released by the provincial government of Negros Occidental as of January 25, 38 of the 63 medical staff are currently on quarantine.
Among the medical staff who have either tested positive or ill with COVID-19 are eight doctors, 19 nurses, five nursing attendants, one midwife, nine medical technologists, one pharmacist, two radiologic technologists, and 18 support staff members.
Meanwhile, the 38 personnel who are under quarantine include three doctors, 17 nurses, one nursing attendant, four medical technologists, two radiologic technologists, and 11 support staff.
Earlier this week, TLJPH announced that they are temporarily suspending their regular services.
Among the services that are directly impacted by the suspensions are the hospital’s Outpatient Department (OPD), and their COVID-19 vaccination center.
Admissions at the hospital have also been limited to extreme emergency cases only./DGB, WDJ
