Two women were intercepted by officials from the Provincial Incident Management Team (PIMT) at the Bredco Port in Bacolod City after they allegedly presented fake RT-PCR test results.

PIMT head, Dr. Zeaphard Caelian, said the two women arrived on January 20 onboard a ferry vessel originating from Manila.

Caelian said upon presenting their negative RT-PCR test results for scanning, they found that the results had been tampered and photoshopped prompting the authorities to hold the two travelers.

The travelers were then sent to a capitol-operated isolation facility and were subjected to an RT-PCR test at their own expense.

The women could also face criminal charges involving falsification of public documents as well as violating provisions of Republic Act 11332, or The Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Concern Act./DGB, WDJ
