Sipalay LGU assists volunteer group in distribution of house reconstruction aid

The local government unit of Sipalay City assisted the Negrense Volunteers for Change (NVC) in their distribution of house construction materials in the city’s Barangay Nauhang.

The said materials benefited a total of 49 partially damaged houses from puroks Sa-ang, Sigay, Bagongon, Baguisan, Tuway, Saka-saka, and Bucana in the said barangay.

The Negrense Volunteers for Change is a locally funded non-governmental organization from Bacolod City.

They cover programs in nutrition, livelihood, education, and relief operations.

They went to Sipalay to also implement their project in line with their program that is centered on rebuilding and rehabilitating houses.

Present during the distribution were NVC field officers Jessie Lachica and Jun Rey Reyes along with Karl Ruiz Reyes, NVC volunteer.

They were also joined by representatives from the city government of Sipalay, Information Officer Engr. Efren James Lim and Social Welfare Officer Rhea Sol Moreño.

The barangay council of Nauhang headed by Punong Barangay Diego Hulguin also assisted in the distribution./WDJ
