Top officials of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Western Visayas, including Comelec head in Negros Occidental, have been transferred as part of the preparations for the National and Local Elections in May of this year.

Outgoing Comelec-Negros Occidental Elections Supervisor, Atty. Ian Lee Ananoria, said he is being reassigned as Provincial Election Officer in Iloilo province which took effect on Monday, January 10.

Ananoria was replaced by Atty. Roberto Salazar, who was previously assigned at Comelec-Aklan.

Ananoria added the reshuffling of Comelec regional directors have already taken place last year, and explained that the reshuffling of provincial Comelec heads is normal and is implemented nationwide./DGB, WDJ
