Four people believed to be members of a notorious robbery group, along with their supposed leader, were abducted and found dead in different places over the weekend.
Police identified the three fatalities as 30-year-old Arnold “Aki” Cuadra, leader of the Aki-Cuadra crime gang; Jhundelle Rafols, 25; and Leonil Rafols Jr., 26.
The fourth fatality, meanwhile, was identified as 30-year-old Rene Boy “Kugan” Dasillo.
Based on initial information released by Police Station 7 commander, Police Capt. Elmer Bonilla, the two Rafols along with Dasillo were abducted from Cuadra’s rented house located at Villa Homes Subdivision in Bacolod City’s Vista Alegre late Friday night, January 7.
Cuadra, meanwhile, was abducted inside the same subdivision. It is believed that Cuadra got into a short foot chase before his abductors caught up with him.
The victims were then separated and forced inside two waiting vans before speeding away from the area, police said.
On Saturday morning, January 8, Jhundelle and his cousin Leonil were found dead at a sugarcane field in Barangay Blumentritt in Negros Occidental’s Murcia town.
Both victims sustained multiple gunshot wounds on their bodies.
Cops recovered 20 empty shells from a .45 caliber and 9mm pistol at the crime scene.
Dasillo was also later found at an irrigation ditch at Barangay Atipuluhan in Bago City around 200 meters from a residential area. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the body.
Cuadra, meanwhile, was found at a river located behind the Trinity Christian School at Villa Angela Subdivision in Bacolod City’s Barangay Villamonte. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the body.
Based on records released by the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), Cuadra has four existing warrants of arrest stemming from robbery and illegal drugs.
Police are still investigating the incident as of this writing./DGB, WDJ
