Police identified the fatalities as 29-year-old Joemar Jirasol, his 19-year-old wife Angeline, and their two-month-old child Ejemer, all residents of Barangay Codcod in the said city.

Angeline’s younger brother, 10-year-old Benjie Alfar, managed to survive but is currently confined at the San Carlos City Hospital after sustaining multiple injuries.

Traffic investigators from the San Carlos City Police Station said the tanker truck driven by 34-year-old Mykill Galgo suffered a malfunction in the steering wheel and drag link which caused him to accidentally run over Jirasol’s motorcycle.
