The Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) is now going on “overdrive” trying to restore power to affected consumers after the onslaught of Typhoon “Odette.”.
Information released by the power cooperative in their official social media account said their technical crews immediately began troubleshooting activities and repairs to their three damaged 69kV lines.
Ceneco said they are aiming to completely restore power within two to three days, and they are hoping for cooperation from their consumers.
It is also strongly advising their member-consumers to stay away from downed electric poles and distribution lines for safety reasons.
As of 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, power had already been restored in the majority of their feeders in Bacolod City, Talisay City, Silay City, Bago City, and Murcia town, with isolated areas noted as further repairs are needed either in the electrical poles or wires.
Twelve feeders are also still unavailable as repairs in the affected feeders are still ongoing.
“Typhoon ‘Odette’ has caused so much damage to our lines and we are trying our best to restore power in all areas. Please bear with us,” Ceneco added./DGB, WDJ
