Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led the distribution of cash assistance under “Ayuda sa Panahon sang Pandemya” worth a total of P510,000 to indigent tricycle drivers in Negros Occidental’s Candoni town last Tuesday.

Each of the 170 beneficiaries received P3,000 each in a turnover ceremony held at the Barangay East Covered Court.

The program was spearheaded by Vice Mayor Maejoy Gargar in coordination with the provincial government of Negros Occidental through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).

Also present in the activity were Sixth District Board Member Jeffrey Tubola, Candoni Vice Mayor Maejoy Gargar, PSWDO OIC Merle Garcia, Candoni Sangguniang Bayan members, and other local officials./WDJ
