San Carlos holds online job fair for JobStart beneficiaries

The San Carlos City Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) conducted an online job fair for JobStart beneficiaries of the city ON Tuesday, December 14.

At least 29 beneficiaries availed the said online job fair where individuals who passed the initial screening were assessed by the respective companies they have applied for.

Prior to the assessment, participants were briefed on how to handle interviews, to be calm and firm with their answers and overcome rejections.

Atty. Estefanio Libutan Jr. said the program is as big help especially to the out-of-school youth in the city where he hoped that participants will do their best to pass and get employed the soonest.

Lady Lovely Gemida, a 22-year-old beneficiary from So. Cabagtasan, Barangay Codcod, is thankful for the opportunity especially during this time of the pandemic where it’s not easy to get a job.

Participating companies were the business process outsourcing (BPO) companies in Bacolod City which include Teleperformance Philippines, Inc., IQor Philippines and PanAsiatic Solutions.
