The provincial government of Negros Occidental will offer free entrance at the Mambukal Resort for fully vaccinated individuals.

Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, provincial administrator, said the resort will have a soft opening on December 1 and facilities that will be enjoyed include the boating lagoon, Ofuro hot bath, rentable huts, and the falls.

“There were landslides in two areas going up the falls but it has not affected the trail,” Diaz said.

In the meantime, the resort will be limited to daytime trips only and there will be no overnight stays yet.

Guests are also required to arrange a reservation first at the Mambukal office before going to the resort located in Murcia town’s Barangay Minoyan.

Diaz said free entrance is an incentive for fully-vaccinated individuals.

Meanwhile, Diaz said a new food court building by the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority is nearing completion inside Mambukal Resort.

The concessionaires, he said, will be arranged and the Mambukal catering services are also open.

He said they will assess the situation after the soft opening and make adjustments between the second and third week of December depending on the outcome./DGB, WDJ
