More than 150 beneficiaries received their financial assistance as the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) extended their help through the ELCAC-Local Government Support Fund-Support to Barangay Development Program to the residents of Barangay Banago in Bacolod City on Wednesday.

Mayor Evelio Leonardia and DILG-Bacolod City director Ma. Joy Maredith Madayag led the payout, alongside Barangay Banago Secretary Melanie Jugos who represented Punong Barangay Ricky Mijares.

Of the 158 beneficiaries, 85 received medical assistance while 12 residents accepted burial aid.

Sixty-one recipients also received education assistance from the agency, with college students receiving P10,000 and P6,000 for high school students./WDJ
