Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson has increased the reward money in exchange for information which would lead to the arrest of the suspects behind the assassination of Provincial Consultant Mariano Antonio “Marton” Cui III earlier this year.
Lacson is offering a P1.5 million reward money for anyone who could provide the vital information.
Earlier in October, the governor offered a P500,000 reward money.
He is also asking those who may have information on Cui’s murderers to immediately contact Atty. Renoir Baldovino, the district chief of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Bacolod City.
Cui, who served as the provincial capitol’s consultant for hospital operations, was assassinated by a sniper as he was leaving his office in Barangay Palampas in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental in April of this year.
President Rodrigo Duterte had already ordered the NBI to investigate Cui’s assassination./DGB, WDJ
