Negros Occidental provincial administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, said yesterday that they are ready to give additional bonuses for employees of the provincial government.

According to Diaz, they are expecting to give out the bonuses this month, although the amount had yet to be presented to Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson for approval.

Diaz said the province received a lot of awards this year wherein it could further provide support as to the bonuses that would be handed out to their employees.

“I-announce na lang na ni governor once the budget is ready and approved by our Sangguniang Panlalawigan,” Diaz explained.

He added employees of the provincial government can also expect a bonus as part of the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA).

“Let’s just wait for the announcement of Governor Lacson as to the amount,” he added.

He pointed out with all the hardships experienced by their employees this year, especially those who have gotten sick with COVID-19, the bonuses are expected to lift the morale of their employees, and further enticing them to work harder in the coming year./DGB, WDJ
