Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said the number of patients quarantined at the E.B. Magalona Healing Center is now down to 52, while the other quarantine facilities in Cadiz and Silay City are also down to 16 and 22 patients, respectively.

As for the hospitals, Diaz said in Valladolid District Hospital 27 beds or 69 percent of the hospital’s designated COVID-19 beds are currently occupied, with 10 vacant beds.

Cadiz District Hospital, meanwhile, reported they are currently 95 percent occupied with 89 patients currently receiving treatment, while seven beds are available.

The Valeriano Gatuslao District Hospital in Himamaylan City also noted a decrease with only 38 beds or 74 percent occupied with 13 vacant beds.

Despite the continued reduction in new and active COVID-19 cases, Diaz is still appealing to the Negrenses to continue observing the proper health protocols, as well as to get themselves vaccinated against COVID-19.

As of October 26, Negros Occidental has 3,460 active COVID-19 cases./DGB, WDJ
