With the observance of the All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day or “Undas” already drawing near, several flower shops in Bacolod City are expecting a hike in their flower prices in the coming days.
As of Monday, the price of flowers is at P200 to P300, although one of the sellers located at the back of the Bacolod BAYS Center said the bundles also depend on the budget of the customer.
Since the cemeteries, columbaria, and memorial parks are expected to close down from October 30 to November 2 as part of the ongoing efforts to control the spread of COVID-19, one of the sellers commented that they won’t be affected by the closures, as they will remain in operation during the observance of “Undas.”
They also commented that the hike in the price of flowers they are selling will also depend on the availability of supply./DGB, WDJ
