After 12 years of hiding, a farmer accused of rape was arrested at Purok Lomboy, Barangay Camingawan in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the suspect as 48-year-old Dante Conlu, a resident of the place.

Joint operatives of the Kabankalan City Police Station, Regional Intelligence Unit led by Police Major Rey Molas, Provincial Intelligence Unit, and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group arrested the suspect at around 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, October 10.

The late Judge Henry Arles ordered the suspect’s arrest through an arrest warrant dated May 5, 2009.

Conlu was detained at the Kabankalan City Police Station.

No bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./WDJ
