Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said on Tuesday that they are targeting more than 7,500 Negrenses to be tested.

Lacson said the mass testing will be conducted after the filing of candidacies ends on October 8.

He added they have already talked with the mayors in the province and they got their commitment to help.

“We will not implement it without the cooperation of the local government units. The shorter the time we finish it, the better”, he said.

Meanwhile, Provincial Consultant Alfredo Benitez said that the mass testing aims to “catch those who are asymptomatic.”

“We are hoping for a unified approach between the province and the Bacolod City government for us to have a sharing of resources and information,” Benitez said./DGB, WDJ
