Victorias City man yields shabu, gun in drug bust

Eight sachets of suspected shabu and a firearm were seized from a 38-year-old man in a drug buy-bust operation at Taytay Bacayan, Barangay 19-A in Victorias City, Negros Occidental around 11:30 p.m. on Monday, September 27.

Victorias City police chief, Police Lieutenant Colonel Eduardo Corpuz, said Dan Perry Lacson of the city’s Barangay 1 was identified as street level individual.

Police confiscated around 3 grams of suspected shabu valued at P20,400; P500 in buy-bust money; and P2,110 cash believed to be illegal drug proceeds.

Lacson also yielded an improvised 12-gauge homemade shotgun with one live bullet, a motorcycle and a cell phone.

The suspect was detained at the Victorias City Police Station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, or t he Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and RA 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./WDJ
