The free vaccination drive dubbed “Buntis Day” is slated for two days, September 22 and 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Ayala Malls Capitol Central.

It is spearheaded by the Bacolod City Emergency Operations Center-Task Force (EOC-TF) and COVID-19 Vaccination Council, in partnership with the Philippine Obstetrics and Gynecology Society Negros Occidental Chapter.

Supervising the vaccination from EOC-TF are Executive Director and City Administrator Em Ang; OIC-City Health Officer Dr. Edwin Miraflor Jr.; and EOC Deputies Medical Dr. Chris Sorongon and Dr. Anna Maria Laarni Pornan.

Expecting mothers and breastfeeding mothers are required to bring the following at the vaccination site:

  • Medical Certificate from their OB
  • Ultrasound Result
  • Mother’s Book from Health Center

The EOC-TF urges pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers to have themselves vaccinated, as they are more likely to experience severe illness due to COVID-19./WDJ
