A two-room school building for Indigenous Peoples (IP) was recently turned over and unveiled at Bula National High School located in Sitio Bula, Barangay Carol-an, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Leading the event were Mayor Pedro Zayco, Jr., Rep. Genaro Alvarez, Commissioner Jeorge Medez Largado of the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP), and councilors Helen Zafra, Jeanna Cordova Genizera, Delia Anacan, Roger Regalia, Rey Cordero, Efren Gaspillo Sr., Joestarr Bandoy Bandojo, and Jerzy Guanzon.
Zayco committed an additional budget of P11 million for road concreting from Sitio Tagbunon to Sitio Bula and an additional P10 million for road concreting of Sitio Camandag to Barangay Carol-an proper.
Rep. Alvarez, meanwhile, said he will allot a budget of P20 million for the school’s covered court.
It was also announced that Bula National High School will no longer be an extension campus of Carol-an NHS but an independent national high school./WDJ
