An early Sunday morning fire gutted at least two houses and 10 stores at Corner Katalbas-Osmeña St., Barangay Poblacion I in Sagay City, Negros Occidental.

Fire Inspector Rodney Nadal, acting city fire marshal, said they received a fire call around 2:44 a.m.
The firefighters arrived two minutes later.
The fire quickly spread in the area as the houses and stores were all made of light materials, although firefighters managed to contain and eventually put out the fire.
Arson investigators from the Bureau of Fire Protection are currently investigating the cause of the blaze./DGB, WDJ
