Talisay City woman jailed over ‘drugs’

Police arrested a 37-year-old woman during a drug buy-bust operation at her residence at Rosendo Lacson St., Barangay Zone 2 in Negros Occidental’s Talisay City.

Suspect Claire Soreno was nabbed around 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 15, by joint operatives of the Special Operating Unit 6, PNP Drug Enforcement Group, Talisay Component City Police Station, and Silay City Component Police Station.

Soreno was tagged as “high-value” target of the Silay City police.

Police confiscated around 10 grams of suspected shabu valued at P68,000; P1,000 in buy-bust money; green coin purse; and drug paraphernalia.

The suspect was detained at the Talisay City Police Station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./WDJ
