Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson revealed yesterday that Love Negros will hold a meeting on Saturday, September 18, at Nature’s Village Hotel in Talisay City, alongside the United Negros Alliance (UNegA).

“It’s just a coincidence that we will have separate meetings on the same day and venue,” Lacson said as UNegA also set up their gathering on the same date and venue.

“Their meetings will be held in separate rooms,” Lacson said.

He said that the coalition will only agree later about the date of their filing of certificate of candidacy (COC).

“We will file on the same date but not at the same time because of the COVID-19 [situation] where we should observe physical distancing,” Lacson said.

The governor announced that he will meet and discuss with Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer about the situation in some localities where the coalition members will fight each other for the same position./DGB, WDJ
