Sef Cadayona and Mikee Quintos are enjoying their roles as young versions of Pepito and Elsa in the prequel of “Pepito Manaloto” titled “Ang Unang Kwento.”

According to Sef, it is a big help that they are guided by the team that has been working behind “Pepito Manaloto” for around 11 years already.

“Sobrang swerte po namin kasi masaya po silang katrabaho. Lahat ng tulong na pwede nilang ma-contribute binibigay po nila sa amin ni Mikee at sa lahat ng actors and actresses ng Pepito Manaloto,” said Sef.

Sef, meanwhile, expressed ‘kilig’ while describing his working relationship with Mikee.

“Mahilig po ako sa comedy pero pagdating sa love…” Sef expressed as he continued by just giggling.

“I’m so happy na si Mikee ang kasama ko at kami ang nagpo-portray ng Pepito at Elsa,” he added.

He stressed that “madali at masarap umarte kasama si Mikee.”

Mikee, on the other hand, echoed Sef as she is also thankful for the guidance of the “Pepito Manaloto” team.

She said she hardly had hart time portraying Elsa. She added that the guidance is always there even when it comes to small details like the simple gesture of Elsa that she is trying to imitate.

“Kahit ganitong kaliit na bagay sobrang laki ng difference. Malaking tulong,” said Mikee.

“Pepito Manaloto: Ang Unang Kwento” started airing at GMA Network on July 17, 2021. It tells Elsa and Pepito’s love story which started in the ‘80s.

Meanwhile, original cast members Manilyn Reynes and Michael V. are present in the prequel as narrators to tell the love story of young Pepito and Elsa.

Michael V., apart from being the lead actor, Concept Creator, and Creative Director of the sitcom for years, is also behind the catchy theme song of “Ang Unang Kuwento.” (Glenda Tayona)/WDJ
