The United Negros Alliance (UNegA) is set to hold its general assembly on September 18 at Nature’s Village Hotel in Talisay City.
This was confirmed yesterday by Cadiz City Mayor Salvador Escalante, who is also the secretary-general of UNegA.
He said they were supposed to hold the assembly on September 25 or 26, but they reset it an earlier date after Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson told him that they will also hold the Love Negros and UNegA coalition General Assembly this month.
Escalante revealed that he met with Lacson along with Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer, Second District Rep. Leo Rafael Cueva and Sagay City Mayor Alfredo Marañon III last Monday during the presentation of his official lineup in Cadiz City for the coming May 9, 2022 elections.
Escalante reaffirmed his support and commitment to the re-election bid of Lacson and Ferrer in the upcoming elections, and gave the tandem an 80% performance rating in the scale of 1 to 100%.
“Because of the pandemic we have not fully implemented what we were supposed to do in terms of projects but both have performed well for the province,” Escalante said./DGB, WDJ
